PizzaExpress has a Christmas Menu with contemporary twists on classic dishes

This Christmas, PizzaExpress has well and truly mastered the art of indulgence. Ranging from a delectable hog roast and stuffing Romana pizza recipe, to zingy jaffa profiteroles, to creamy cocktails to wash it all down with; the Christmas menu is sure to surprise and delight, with its contemporary twists on classic dishes.


Would you ever expect to see a hog roast or cauliflower cheese on a pizza? Well, the brains behind the PizzaExpress menu have truly surpassed themselves this year, by taking much loved Christmas classics out of the home, and onto pizza bases in restaurants nationwide.

The NEW Porchetta Natale Romana is a delectable twist on the classic Christmas roast dinner. The mouth-watering creation sees pulled hog roast complemented with a beautiful soft herb stuffing, topped with pancetta, mozzarella, rosemary, oregano and pine kernels, and finished with fresh parsley.

Conventional winter comfort food is also given a stylish sheen, with the NEW Cauliflower Cheese Romana. With the humble cauliflower floret seeing a rapid ascension to ‘it’ vegetable status this year, this delicious combination of roasted cauliflower florets, pecorino cheese, mozzarella, pink Tropea onions and garlic toppings are assembled on a beautiful cheese and mustard sauce base, and finished with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of Gran Milano cheese. Never before has something so cheesy had such class.

Cheese-loving carnivores also have the glorious option of the Cauliflower E Carne Romana, which brings a touch of salty pancetta to the already beautifully indulgent recipe.





Traditionally indulgent Italian desserts are re-visited in a typically fun PizzaExpress fashion this festive season. From succulent sweets to a fruity and chocolatey twist on profiteroles, there’s bound to be something on the menu to suit even the sweetest tooth.

For Italians, Christmas just isn’t Christmas without pannetone. Meet the Pannetone Cheesecake: a delectable twist on the traditional Italian dish, which boasts chocolate chip and orange marmalade panettone pieces in a creamy vanilla cheesecake, all topped on a thick and buttery biscuit base. Serve with your choice of gelato, cream or mascarpone.

Dough Ball fans will love the return of the iconic Snowball Dough Balls. PizzaExpress’ famous hot, fluffy Dough Balls are sprinkled with icing sugar and cinnamon and served with a vanilla cream dip.
